- Polycaprolactone-based aliphatic TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane). Low-gel, non-yellowing, UV-resistant.
- Adhesive
- Removable, repositionable, non-yellowing, crystal-clear high-performance acrylic.
- Warranty
- 10-year limited (manufacturer). Extends to 12 years with STEK Final Coat ceramic topcoat (registered at stekshield.com).
- Outdoor weathering
- No change after 1,000 hrs xenon arc accelerated weathering (6500W Xenon, 0.51 W/m² @ 340nm, 65°C, 50% RH).

- Professionally installed by trained, authorized STEK installers only.

Thickness key insight
STEK's standard DYNO line — DYNOshield, PROshield, DYNOmatte, DYNOprism, Fashion Film — is 8 mil. DYNOmight is the 10-mil premium tier (thicker TPU for impact-heavy use cases — overland, track, exotic). Thickness for DYNOshield confirmed against STEK USA's product page (stek-usa.com/dynoshield).
HYDROphobe® nano glass ceramic top coat
Built into DYNOshield, DYNOmatte, and DYNOprism. STEK's approved description: "Each of our DYNOseries PPF's offer a built-in hydrophobic layer as a part of that liquid applied top coat."

Self-healing — verified mechanism
"Light surface scratches will disappear with the application of heat (sunshine, hot water, heat gun) — film has a membrane that wants to self-level with heat. Once heat is applied it heals itself, smoothing out and going back to a pristine glossy or satin finish."

Honest caveat per STEK: "Some scratches can be too deep to self-heal but it's very rare that any scratches go all the way through the film."
