Tesla Model X — Full-Body STEK DYNOshield PPF Over a Colour-Flip Wrap
The wrap is the colour. The film is what keeps it.

Customer context
A Model X already wrapped in a purple-to-blue colour-flip vinyl. Vinyl wrap scratches, chips and fades faster than paint; the owner wanted the colour kept, so the whole car was filmed over the wrap.
What we did
- Wash and decon of the wrap with wrap-safe chemistry, so nothing is sealed under the film
- Full-body STEK DYNOshield clear paint protection film: hood, bumpers, fenders, doors, quarters, liftgate, mirrors, pillars, roof
- Edges wrapped where the panel allows, and the film laid with the wrap seams in mind so neither one lifts the other
- Hand-back walkthrough in the sun; the colour shift reads the same through the film
Process detail
- Clear PPF over vinyl needs a fully cured, well-adhered wrap; a fresh or lifting wrap would come up with the film
- Colour-flip vinyl is a thin, soft surface: it marks from a wash mitt and chips at the nose. 8-mil self-healing TPU over it takes those hits instead
- Full body on a Model X is a big install: the car is large and the falcon doors add edges a sedan does not have
- Aftercare: wash it like a filmed car, not a wrapped one. No wax over the film, no pressure washer at the edges
