Shelby GT350 — P&S STOUT Ceramic Coating
Race Red and the black stripes under one coating, so they age together.
Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 · 2026-10-13
Customer context
A weekend car in Race Red with factory stripes. The owner wanted it to stay this red and this glossy without weekly waxing.
What we did
- Full wash, iron decon and clay to clear bonded contamination before the coating
- Machine polish to bring the red and the stripes to the same uniform gloss
- P&S Inspiration STOUT ceramic coating across every painted panel, stripes included
- Cure in the shop before the car went back outside
Process detail
- Red paint fades first under UV; a ceramic coating is the layer that takes the sun instead of the pigment
- The stripes are painted, not vinyl, so they are polished and coated the same as the body
- STOUT is a high-solids coating with a strongly hydrophobic surface: water sheets off, dirt lets go on a rinse
- Aftercare: a Maintenance Wash every few weeks keeps the coating healthy and the gloss where it is today
