Porsche detailing, ceramic, and PPF — Bay Area.
Porsche paint is great Porsche paint — and Porsche owners notice every chip, every swirl, every door-handle scratch. Most of the Porsche work we do is on cars whose owners track them on weekends, daily-drive them through the Caldecott, or both. Front-end PPF is functionally mandatory on a 911 if you do any highway driving north of San Rafael; ceramic is the long-term gloss insurance.
Porsche models we work on
Each platform has its own quirks. Here's what we see most often.
911 (992 + 991 + 997)
Hood + bumper + fenders PPF + ceramic over the rest is the standard 911 spec. Happy to coordinate around club race weekends if your car is in that rotation.
GT3 / GT2 RS
Special-attention paint (Paint to Sample, GT Silver, Crayon, etc.). PPF chosen to preserve the texture (DYNOshield gloss, not matte). Carbon-fiber trim left bare.
Cayman / Boxster (718)
Lower air dam takes hits from parking blocks + low driveways. Lower-front PPF + clean exhaust tip detail.
Taycan
Same Tesla-class paint software — needs early ceramic. Frunk weatherstrip a regular pet-hair trap.
Macan / Cayenne
SUVs see grocery-cart dings + door-edge scrapes — door-edge PPF + headlight PPF make a real difference.
What to get on a Porsche.

Porsche FAQ
What does PPF cost for a Porsche?
Full Front PPF is a flat $1,800 across all Porsche models (hood + fenders + bumper + mirrors). Full Body varies by vehicle tier — see the pricing table above for verified-tier models. Models not in our canonical tier list are quoted per vehicle after we confirm dimensions. STEK Final Coat top-coat is +$300 and extends the PPF warranty from 10 to 12 years.
Is Porsche paint really softer than other brands?
Porsche paint hardness is in the normal premium-marque range. The bigger paint-life factor is wash discipline (no brush automatic washes, pH-neutral chemistry) and protection coverage (PPF on impact zones + ceramic on the rest). See the recommended package above.
Do you do mobile service for Porsche owners?
Yes — detailing and ceramic coating are mobile or shop at the same price. We bring our own water + power. PPF is shop-only because film install requires a dust-controlled environment (drop off at 3425 Ettie St, Oakland).
How long does Porsche PPF install take?
Hood or Bumper-only: 1 day. Full Front (4 panels): 1 day. Full Body: 3 days. We don't rush installs — proper edge wrapping + cure time is what makes PPF last the full 10-year warranty window (12 with Final Coat registered at stekshield.com).
What's the best protection package for a daily-driven Porsche?
Full Front PPF ($1,800) + P&S STOUT ceramic on the rest of the car (5 yr durability, 107° hydrophobic) is the standard daily-driver combo. Add Final Coat over the PPF (+$300) if you're holding the car long-term — extends the PPF warranty to 12 years.
