Audi detailing, ceramic, and PPF — Bay Area.
Audi paint is German-engineered durable, but the cars themselves attract drivers who notice details. RS3 / RS5 / RS6 / RS7 owners want their special-color paint to look factory in three years, not "loved." R8 owners want PPF on the front end before they leave the dealer lot. e-tron + e-tron GT owners want ceramic that holds up to SF-Peninsula commute grit. We do all three — and we know the difference between a Nardo Gray RS6 and a Daytona Gray RS6 paint correction pass.
Audi models we work on
Each platform has its own quirks. Here's what we see most often.
RS3 / RS4 / RS5
Nardo Gray + Suzuka Gray are paint-correction-prone (visible swirls). Pre-coating polish a regular ask.
RS6 / RS7 Avant
Wagons collect highway debris on the rocker panels — rocker PPF is the under-recommended add-on for RS6 owners.
R8
Mid-engine layout = larger front-end exposure. Full-front PPF + headlight PPF + ceramic.
e-tron GT / e-tron SUV
EV-class paint software + heavy curb weight (= brake dust). Ceramic + PPF on rocker panels.
Q5 / Q7 / Q8
SUVs see family duty + ski-trip cargo loads. Interior leather conditioning + door-cup PPF are good adds.

Audi FAQ
What does PPF cost for a Audi?
Full Front PPF is a flat $1,800 across all Audi models (hood + fenders + bumper + mirrors). Full Body and ceramic vary by vehicle size — text us year + model + trim for a verified per-vehicle quote. STEK Final Coat top-coat is +$300 and extends the PPF warranty from 10 to 12 years.
Is Audi paint really softer than other brands?
Audi paint hardness is in the normal premium-marque range. The bigger paint-life factor is wash discipline (no brush automatic washes, pH-neutral chemistry) and protection coverage (PPF on impact zones + ceramic on the rest). See the recommended package above.
Do you do mobile service for Audi owners?
Yes — detailing and ceramic coating are mobile or shop at the same price. We bring our own water + power. PPF is shop-only because film install requires a dust-controlled environment (drop off at 3425 Ettie St, Oakland).
How long does Audi PPF install take?
Hood or Bumper-only: 1 day. Full Front (4 panels): 1 day. Full Body: 3 days. We don't rush installs — proper edge wrapping + cure time is what makes PPF last the full 10-year warranty window (12 with Final Coat registered at stekshield.com).
What's the best protection package for a daily-driven Audi?
Full Front PPF ($1,800) + P&S STOUT ceramic on the rest of the car (5 yr durability, 107° hydrophobic) is the standard daily-driver combo. Add Final Coat over the PPF (+$300) if you're holding the car long-term — extends the PPF warranty to 12 years.
